With over 5,000 members, the IRRV is the largest professional institute operating in the field of revenues, benefits and valuation. Every year hundreds of students sit IRRV examinations. Those who are successful join the thousands of IRRV qualified professionals currently working in local authorities and public and private sector valuation.
The Institute’s main aim is to support its members’ professional and personal development and the sharing of best practice. The Institute keeps its members informed of current issues through magazines, publications and a comprehensive website. IRRV qualifications and the Continuing Professional Development scheme are designed to meet the needs of members at every stage of their career and the various conferences and meetings offer opportunities for networking with other professionals from the UK and overseas.
A thriving network of Associations is one of the IRRV’s main strengths. The Associations organise programmes of professional and social activities that take place regionally and provide the opportunity for all members to become more involved in the work of the Institute.
The BAA Communities Trust is a registered charity which was established in 1996. Its main source of funding is BAA plc, which donates £15 out of every £1,000 of pre-tax profits each year to charitable initiatives, and in its first 10 years the Trust made grants totalling more than £3 million. The Trust funds initiatives in the communities local to BAA’s seven UK airports, supports charitable projects put forward by staff and makes grants to global projects linked to youth development and sought by the Trust on a proactive basis. These place a priority on supporting community projects within the spheres of education, the environment and employment, but allow support for other charitable purposes that the Trustees think fit.
Grants are made to projects that benefit the general public in local communities around BAA’s UK airports. Wherever possible the Trust looks to support projects that mitigate against the airports’ impacts, provide educational development and training opportunities for 14 to 21year-olds and encourage staff to participate actively in local projects. Projects are developed in partnership with local stakeholders and brought forward to the Trust by the individual airport community teams.

GRA are different; really different. They go beyond the typical training and learning. They inspire people to change the way they work, deliver improved performance and allow the business to get a measurable return on investment.
PERSONALISED They take time to really understand your business and your people (and the desired outcomes) before they make any recommendations. This is fundamental to the approach and their solutions are therefore focused on providing real personal and business benefits. They do not provide ‘off the shelf’, open training programmes.
EXPERIENTIAL Experiential learning is fundamental to their approach and they focus on the practical application of learning to your needs, issues and culture – learning by doing, not just theory.
Through this approach, they aim to inspire and empower each individual to make changes in how they behave at work to benefit themselves, their team, their organisation and their customers. You will be actively involved in applying the skills of planning, decision-making, problem solving, leadership and team working through participating in scenarios specifically designed to parallel the behaviours of the workplace.
They often use the outdoors to provide a different dimension to learning and development. Participants are surprised to discover new aspects of themselves away from the familiarity and comfort zones of the workplace. This experience is transferred to situations at work through focused reflection and action planning. The personal development and exhilaration can live on to inspire and motivate for years.
INSPIRATIONAL GRA are in the ‘Inspiration’ Business – their goal is to inspire and motivate people to discover, develop and release their true potential and achieve tangible personal and organisational benefits. Training people may deliver short term benefits and a few days of increased motivation – Inspiring people provides for long term and sustainable benefits by creating the culture and motivation to promote on-going learning and development for self and others.
INNOVATIVE They work hard on your behalf to be innovative and creative and will consistently offer a wealth of original materials and activities specifically designed to ensure lasting results in efficiency, effectiveness and creativity back in the workplace.
FUN Work and learning can and should be fun, so they design programmes to engage both intellect and emotion through stimulating and challenging activities. They are passionate about what they do – and want you to be passionate about what you do.
VALUE FOR MONEY Their personalised and issue-based approach does not come at a premium – since the programmes are carefully defined and targeted, they are very cost effective. Furthermore, because the focus is on meeting your precise needs and delivering practical and measurable outcomes for the individual, team and organisation, they offer exceptional value for money.
